Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine is arguably the oldest form of medicine, with an age old history which date back 3000 years.
TCM is one of the fastest growing alternative medical fields in the western world, and more people daily are seeking out these therapies to balance their lives and wellbeing.
TCM encompasses herbal therapy, dietary therapy and acupuncture to balance QI (energy flows in designated channels or pathways of the body), which results in emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.
The principle of TCM is that “if we have to cure a medical problem, we should deal with it at the root level, rather than just cure the symptoms.”
Initial Acupuncture Appointment
An Initial Acupuncture Appointment includes a thorough intake questionnaire and analysis of the tongue and pulse in order to determine the imbalances within the body and customize a treatment plan suitable for you.
The treatment consists of placing small, sterile acupuncture needles into specific points on the body, which stimulates the body’s own physiological healing mechanism to take care of itself.
Acupuncture can help a plethora of problems, including:
-Women’s health and hormone imbalance
-Chronic and acute pain
-Stress related illnesses
Follow Up Acupuncture Appointment
Following your initial intake appointment, an treatment plan has been implemented and each appointment will be therapy based.
You will relax on the treatment table, and small sterile needles will be gently inserted into the skin.
Each treatment will target specific points in the body, allowing the body maximal healing and balancing.
Please note that Dr. Robin is currently only accepting MOBILE acupuncture patients in the Airdrie area.
